Cam Shriver, Harry Miller Named CAA Athletes of the Week

RICHMOND, VA - William and Mary juniors Cam Shriver (Oxford, Ohio) and Harry Miller (Portland, Ore.) were honored by the Colonial Athletic Association today as two of three athletes of the week following NCAA Regional-qualifying performances at the Colonial Relays.

Shriver was named the Field Athlete of the Week after winning the high jump Saturday with a jump of 6’ 10.75”, qualifying for the NCAA Regional and tying his career-best jump. Shriver had previously jumped 6’ 10.75” indoors to win the IC4A title in March.

Miller shared this week’s Track Athlete of the Week award with Mark Steeds of Georgia State. Miller ran a career-best 9:05.38 Friday in the 3,000m steeplechase, taking second in the race and besting the regional-qualifying standard. Last year, Miller took seventh in the steeplechase at the Colonial Relays before finishing third at the CAA Championships.

William and Mary has its final tune-up before the conference meet this Saturday, at the Lou Onesty Invitational in Charlottesville, Virginia.
