Waldman Turns in Standout Afternoon at USAG Individual Championships

Shreveport, La. - The William and Mary senior gymnast Stevie Waldman (Downingtown, Pa.) put a fitting end to her Tribe career this afternoon, by raking in USA Gymnastics Collegiate All-America honors on two events (bars and beam) during the individual portion of the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships held hosted by Centenary College.

Waldman was one of three Tribe gymnasts to earn the distinction, as sophomores Jennifer Stack (Enfield, Conn.) and Alison Medeiros (Hudson, Ohio) both picked up their first career USAG Collegiate First-Team All-America certificates on the uneven bars. Waldman started her outstanding weekend of work by capturing the meet’s all-around title on Thursday evening (during the preliminary round of the eight-team competition). Saturday afternoon, she turned in a pair of second-place performances, scoring a 9.825 on the uneven bars and 9.725 on the balance beam.

Stack and Medeiros finished eighth and ninth, respectively on the bars, with Stack scoring a 9.625 and Medeiros earning a mark of 9.575.
