WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William and Mary men's soccer team added another student-athlete to its 2014 incoming class. Head coach
Chris Norris announced that
Graham Guidry will join the men's soccer team for the 2014 season.
“We are very excited to be adding Graham to our incoming class,” Norris said. “Graham is a very versatile attacking player. He possesses excellent technique and has developed a knack for scoring big goals. We feel that Graham can help us in a number of different attacking positions."
Guidry joins the Tribe after a high school career at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes where he finished his career with 53 goals, 18 assists as a four-year varsity starter. He broke the school record for most goals in a season as a junior (20) and senior (28). Guidry was named Alexandria Sportsmen's Athlete of the Year, and was runner up for Gatorade State Player of the Year as a senior.
The Fairfax, Virginia native garnered Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year honors, VISAA First-Team All-State, and IAC First-Team after his senior season. During the year, he helped his team to the state title.
Guidry played his club soccer the Annandale United FC Hawks, which has been ranked has high as No. 1 in the country. He has also played on the ODP district and Virginia state team multiple times.
W&M returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010 this season and won 11 matches. The Green and Gold also spent four-weeks in the NSCAA Top 25, and knocked off a pair of No. 1 teams, 10 days apart.
