WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (May 29, 2014) – William and Mary head football coach Jimmye Laycock has announced a change to the lineup of NFL guest instructors at this year's Colonial All-Pro Football Camp, as Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker will be featured. Also participating in this summer's camp will be Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy.
The Colonial All-Pro Camp, which will be held June 22-25 on the W&M campus, is for players ages 8 through rising seniors in high school. For complete information and to register online, please click here or call the W&M Football office at 757-221-3337.
Rates for this year's camp are $460 for individuals and $360 for day campers. Discounted rates are also available for team campers - $395 for groups of 12 or more and $370 for groups of 20 or more. A $50 deposit is required to reserve a spot, while the entire balance is due by June 7.
Welker and Sherman squared off in this year's Super Bowl and have established themselves as two of the league's elite players at their respective positions. Welker earned All-Pro honors from the Associated Press in four of the past six seasons, while Sherman led the NFL in interceptions (8) in 2013. McCoy is also among the league's top running backs and led the NFL in rushing yards (1,607) last season.
This is the 21st summer the Colonial All-Pro Camp has featured some of the NFL's top players. Among the list of former guest instructors are Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan, Tim Tebow, Victor Cruz, Larry Fitzgerald, Troy Polamalu, Ndamukong Suh, Adrian Peterson, LaDainian Tomlinson, Brian Urlacher, Jerome Bettis, Dan Marino, Ben Roethlisberger, Kurt Warner, Bruce Smith and many others. These greats, along with Laycock and his staff, make for a memorable and instructive camp experience for young players.
