FAMILIAR FACES
The Tribe enters the 2026-27 season with one of its most experienced groups under Davis, returning 11 of its 13 players (84.6%) from last year's roster.
William & Mary's only additions are freshmen guards Denver Carlton and Skyla Mastronardi, with no players joining through the transfer portal.
Among the returners are Cassidy Geddes, Monet Dance, Natalie Fox, Marley Long, Sophia LeGoullon and Emma West, who were all members of the Tribe's historic 2024-25 CAA championship and NCAA Tournament team.
The Green and Gold finished last season 17-14 overall and 9-9 in conference play, advancing to the CAA Championship quarterfinals for the second straight year.
PRESEASON RECOGNITION
Senior guard Cassidy Geddes was named to the Preseason All-CAA First Team after leading William & Mary with 13.7 points per game last season, ranking sixth in the conference.
Geddes earned All-CAA Second Team honors and was named the CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year following her junior campaign. She also became the 23rd player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
Fellow senior guard Monet Dance received Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention recognition after averaging 9.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game last season.
Dance ranked fifth in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.7) and earned CAA Player of the Week honors during the 2025-26 campaign.
BUILDING ON LAST SEASON
William & Mary finished the 2025-26 season with 10 road victories, the second-most in program history, and won four of its final five games before falling to top-seeded Charleston in the CAA Championship quarterfinals.
The Tribe averaged 14.1 assists per game, ranking second in the CAA, while forcing 16.9 turnovers per contest. The Green and Gold also recorded 274 steals, averaging 8.8 per game.
Junior forward Natalie Fox returns after starting all 31 games last season, averaging 9.3 points and a team-best 5.9 rebounds per contest. Fox also recorded 25 blocks and scored in double figures 13 times.
William & Mary also welcomes back Marley Long, who started the final eight games of last season, along with LeGoullon, West and a group of returning sophomores.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
The Tribe led the CAA in home attendance during the 2025-26 season, averaging 1,081 fans per game at Kaplan Arena.
The mark represented the second-highest single-season attendance average in program history, continuing the program's growth under Davis.
William & Mary will play its first two regular-season games at home before beginning its road schedule.
NEW FACES
Carlton and Mastronardi are the only newcomers on William & Mary's roster this season.
Carlton, a 5-foot-10 guard from Ashburn, Va., averaged 24 points per game as a junior at St. James Academy and helped Team Durant capture a Nike EYBL 15U championship.
Mastronardi, a 5-foot-10 guard from Hagerstown, Md., scored more than 1,000 career points at Smithsburg High School and earned multiple Washington County Athletic Association honors.
Both freshmen made their first appearances in a Tribe uniform during Friday's exhibition victory over Christopher Newport.
Mastronardi finished with 11 points and six rebounds, while Carlton added 10 points and five assists in the 81-37 win.
EXHIBITION RECAP
William & Mary closed its preseason with an 81-37 exhibition victory over Christopher Newport on Friday night at Kaplan Arena.
The Tribe recorded 21 assists and forced 24 turnovers in the contest, providing an early look at the team's emphasis on ball movement and defensive pressure heading into the regular season.
The exhibition also gave William & Mary's returning players and two freshmen an opportunity to compete together before Monday's season opener.

Following Monday's opener, William & Mary will remain at Kaplan Arena to host Tennessee State on Thursday, Nov. 5.
